lower forks on an 01 superglide
anyone know of a good polish or acid that would clean up my lower forks? i rescued my bike from being in a shed for 7 years and time really took its toll on them i tried mothers and it didn't do much for them or maybe someone's got a nice used pair of lower forks for an 01 super glide? thanks

You need to strip the clearcoat off before you can polish them. Aircraft stripper will take it right off. After that, polish them with what ever method suits you. I prefer to take 'em off the bike and polish them on my bench buffer.
All of you aluminum can polished the same way....I certainly like my polished aluminum.
