Default Lower Front End on FXDF

Just curious, can't you lower the front end on a bike by sliding the tubes up into the triple trees 1/2" to 1" if you wanted to? What are the pitfalls of doing this?

i dropped mine just a touch. maybe 1/4 inch just to see.
i may go to 1/2. i would like to go an inch, but it may look a bit funky.
in theory, you are limited only by the height of your risers.

None.
In addition, I changed the fluid to the heavier weight Sceaming Egale fork oil... $20.

I did it, and I like it. Biggest thing I noticed is that now my heels are more likely to drag in corners than before. They did every once in a while, but now more often with my forward controls!!
