How to wire on/off switch to headlight?

Of the wires? Maybe Belden. Stranded copper. Maybe PVC jackets in a range of colors. Sizes ranging from 14ga to 22ga. Not sure what the hard plastic and metal bit are.

The bike is a 99 thru 08 mishmash with no stock electronics. Previous owner said it ran when he parked it.

Not sure what all that has to do with my broken cam chain tensioner, tho.

My first thought when I read this thread,was maybe if you can't figure out how to wire a simple on/off switch, leave the bike alone.

I think I see the problem. Whenever things suddenly go south, the first thing to do is undo the last thing you did.
