Angry $20,000 and treated like Sh*^

So a couple weeks ago I posted about my a/c pushing out oil...Went to pick up my 2010 wg today, and they told me they took it for a test ride and didnt see any oil leak! (note that when I dropped it off it had a puddle of oil on the case were it was dripping from the a/c) So they told me the didnt see any problem and if it is to happen again to bring it back! there is a problem it is pushing oil out! you think that after you spend $20,000 somewhere they would dig a little deeper for you! very discouraged with this... Oil level is fine a/c is installed correctly any suggestions? It is a vance and hines vo2 a/c

run your oil level 1/4 quart low, that should fix it. its pushing oil outta the breather bolts in the head, i have that intake and mine did it until I started to run the oil low.

Having the oil level right up to the 'full' mark can (will) cause oil in the breather. And it doesn't take much to make a mess or look like a lot. Hate to say it, but the dealer may be right and there isn't anything wrong.

Lots of aftermarket AC's seem to do this. Mine does.

If this helps, just checking my owners manual for my 05, and if you check the oil level on acold engine it should be between the add and full marks, There is also a "caution" about checking the oil on a cold engine cannot be accurately checked. It also states oil levels should be checked on an engine at normal operating engine, the level should not be above the full mark. Take your bike for a 20 minute ride, park on a level surface, with the bike on the jiffy stand check the oil level. If its over the full mark, remove some until it's below the full mark, a turkey baster is good for this job. If you have the owners manual, check it out.

You will also tend to get blowby like you are describing if you run it hard (causing more pressure). It's really no big deal, double check the level and remove a little to see if that helps.

The factory wants you to burn your oil because they set it up so that it gets sucked into the combustion chambers. If the oil doesn’t reach that destination, then it will drip out the AC.

Let’s forget all that sucking - why help the oil exit the engine? Vent to atmosphere instead. And do not overfill.

Dyna is the only model H-D that holds only 2.5 qts of oil. The sportster, and softail hold 3 qts and the FLs hold 4 qts. Many times a Dyna will get 3 qts of oil during an oil change and the result is a mess coming out of the breather. All it means is some idiot serviced the bike and it is the bike fixing the problem.

Brake cleaner or carb cleaner works great for getting the oil off the engine.
