I think I would rather look at a nice paint job more so than gas sloshing around in a tank...

I would think that a glass tank would be cool on a show bike (one never destined to see the road) glass breaks if hit with a rock, car, asphalt, and Georgia red clay. plexi-glass would distort from the gas, as lexan would also so eventually it would be non translucent. Might as well have a painted metal tank.

If the reason you want to do a glass tank is to be able to see how much actual gas you have available...

Lamb Precision Engineering made an acrylic one for thier "Cafe Rouge Norton 850 Custom Cafe Racer" (google it for images). One off, but it looks thick enough to be more indistructable than a standard tank.
