They make tanks out of plastic, CF, fiber glass etc. so I don't see why you couldn't make one out of clear plastic and have it be perfectly safe. Glass? No.

 

I have a buddy(actually friend of a friend) that built a chopper with a glass oil bag. Pretty cool bike.

Maybe a fake glass tank if you could find an alternative store the acutal fuel. Then you could fill the fake clear tank with water and put live fish in it. Sorta like a Petco theme bike that Paul Jr would design

 

at least you would know when to stop for gas...

haha considering the heat the engine puts out I think that poor fish would be cooked and ready to eat by the time you come to a stop!
