Jolly - Buy the Mustang and tell the wife you have a pearl necklace waiting to happen.

Something else that no one has mentioned is Duct Tape! Wrap that around the tounge for a temporary fix to see if that helps.

I have a Mustang solo seat on my Lowrider. It fit very tight...... Solution, get a cresent wrench and bend the tab open a little more so it would not fit quite so tight........ Opps bent it too much! Solution, big hammer a light tap to bend it back down a bit and violla!!! fits snug and I do not have to wrestle with it every time......... I have very seldom bought a part, even HD that fit exactly as it should. Expect a little modification here and there.. after all that is what makes it personal..

My vintage solo and pillion fit my bob like a glove. I must have gotten lucky. Gotta take it when you can I suppose.

The Mustang I had didnt fit. The nose of the seat didnt line up properly and rose up off the tank when tight in the rear .... enough to see under the seat .... LOL. I sent it back.

Well believe it or not Ameristo was right... A little light beating [sm=chairshot.gif] (nothing too rough) and she sat right down and fit perfect. I guess when I first got the seat seeing that it was used and was supposed to have come off another superglide I really thought it would have fit tighter. And looking at the weld on that toungue I didn't think that it would be an easy task to beat into the correct position. Either way it really fits nice now and I couldn't be happier with the seat.
