You're welcome!

If you download this program ITN Converter and install it on your computer you can prepare your routes and upload them to the Zumo 550.

If you need more info, just shoot me a PM.

Threw them in my truck in case I have to change a tire in the rain or something.

I went with Tour Master and both my gf and I love them. Take up a bit more room than the FTs but do a MUCH better job of keeping us dry - even in the kind of gullywasher thunderstorms we get here in the south.

Here's a comparison article:

+1 on the Frogg Toggs. They are small and carry very easily but suck as far as real weather protection. As you mentioned they don't seal around the neck area or the ankle area so you end up getting soaked from both directions. Actually, there is some velcro on the ankle areas but it's much too long to seal around that area. I also thought they were installed backwards whereas when you have them wrapped, you have the equivalent of a sail on your lower legs. The wind catches it and rips it open. Definitely a waste of money on that product. I have worn them underneath my leathers for extra warmth and to be honest, I was sweating in pretty cold weather. So in that respect, not bad.

But look how long it took them to settle the country. Beside, they didn't have road to follow.

Rene, what ring is that you have around your fuel gauge? What is the I.D. on that?

Just back from the Leesburg bikefest. Took the Garmin zumo 550 because we wanted to explore some day trips we'd read about and we're not familiar with that area. So here are some observations:

1. I purchased a spare Ram mount with the ball on top since the one that came with my unit is permanently mounted on my FLHTC. Planned to attach it with the U bolt but as soon as I tightened the nuts the mount snapped in two! So be very careful if you go that route. I ended up mounting the top half to the top screw on my clutch mount and it worked fine all weekend with only the one screw. Nonetheless I've ordered one of these to try in the future:
http://www.overstock.com/Electronics...0/product.html Should allow us to easily swap between the Street Bob and the Lowrider.

2. Met a guy at the hotel who had ridden down from TN using a less-expensive but not motorcycle-ready Garmin (Nuvo I think). He got caught in a thunderstorm and it appears his unit was drowned as 2 days later it still wasn't working. The Zumo is much more expensive but worth it, IMO.

3. I used the route software that comes with the Garmin to plan a loop ride - mistake!!! We rode from the hotel to the start/end spot, turned on the Garmin, selected that route and it promptly told us we had arrived at our final destination! In the future I think I'll leave the last leg of any closed loop route open. We were able to ride the route by entering the address of the first stop in manually then, after we left that location we selected the original route again. Since we were between stops 2 and 3 it picked up the route perfectly and led us the rest of the way.

4. On a separate note, I packed everything I needed in a Tbag Switchback and strapped it to my Motherwell's luggage rack. While it worked fine, I am a bit concerned that any wobbling could dent the fender as some others here have indicated. I'm seriously considering Easy or Ghost brackets and a pair of saddlebags for future trips.

5. 3 days of 150+ miles per day has convinced my sore butt that I need a new seat. The stocker just won't cut it for any real riding and I dread the thought of a 450-500 mile day!

6. I've worn ear plugs for years now to cut the wind noise but they only work to an extent. I took the plunge and bought a set of custom fit plugs at the fest - 3-4 dealers there. I went with BigEars. $60, 5 minutes to fit, then come back in an hour to pick them up. These REALLY cut the noise! No wind entering the ear at all. I cannot hear my SE II "off-road use only" (the pre-05 version) at all when riding at a steady pace. Rap the throttle and I can hear them, but otherwise nothing. Followed a guy on a Big Dog type chopper at 35 through town, open pipes, silence. So they aren't for everyone. Without a tach you need to shift by feel. Couldn't hear my gf's stock horn when she was trailing me by about 25 feet. But I heard ambulance and cop car sirens and stopped at a light I could hear my gf's iPod with bar mounted speakers, tho not loud.
