This week through Sunday - Outer Banks Bike week in NC (Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, etc.). At the same time, just down the road, in Grandy, NC at Barry's Walnut Island Restaurant and Lodge, check out Barry's Bike Week. Both events have vendors, music, events, etc.

I'd be happy to take the ride out for the day but don't think my baby sitter is available this weekend and my chick has to work so that leaves me at home with baby girl.

I'm ~3.5hrs from Wilmington, have a buddy that lives in ogden.

It's about 10 miles or so north of Kitty Hawk off of US 158 where OBX HD is in Kitty Hawk. In other words, leave KDH and go north to Kitty Hawk, cross the bridge, pass the dealership on your right and keep on getting it. You'll see walnut island blvd., take a right and go down until you see Barry's - it's right on the water (sound). You can also google barry's walnut island or barry's bike week and get info.

 

Yep Barry's is easy to find. There were a couple small vendors there Sunday, more should be rolling in today. Just like what was said, head north out of KDH and about 10 miles from the dealership, when the speed limit drops to 45 you're close. Take a right a the light between the 7-11 and the Hardees (it's the first light you'll come to) and just go straight on up. He's got a good steak and the best crab dip in the county. Good prices too. Just watch that intersection. People get stupid there and I heard a couple guys got hit yesterday somewhere but I'm not sure where.

The HD shop in Harbinger is loaded up with lots of vendors today, the pinstriping guy does some really nice work. The beach is getting packed too. Vertigo will be having a good blowout but its 10 bucks cash to get in. Run up and down both the beach road and the highway so you can see and hit everything. Just be aware of the sand on the beach road. The cops are out running about really well but not hassling anybody so far. It's looking like it's going to be a great time this year.

 

Me and about 13 others so far are riding down there from Chesapeake Va. We are meeting up at Angies Restaurant and having breakfast then heading down there just for the day Saturday.

 

Me and some buds are heading there on Friday. Will probably get there just in time for the party at Kelly's. Might have to check out Barry's. You're the second person to mention it.

 

Leaving Thursday after work and will be there 'till Sunday.
