Vic, that bike is hot!! I'm a big fan of blacking it out but don't love the tape.
By the way, I really dig the front fender - or lack thereof...... Looks awesome. You should be proud.

That's actually a cool idea. Didn't think of that.

I wouldn't mind getting a quality rechrome done but then I have to probably send it out somewhere and I don't want to be without that long. Plus it's so big and bulky I'm sure shipping would cost me an arm and a leg. Thats why I was hoping to get my local guy to do it. I can walk it down the street if need be.

On a side note, he's got the chroming business up for sale (dirt cheap) and I'm seriously contemplating it as Im unemployed and would love to be my own boss. I'm also a big fan of chrome too.

That photo is sort of misleading, Locked. I do have the front fender on but that day I was waiting for some touch ups on it to dry for reinstallation. I just snapped some photos to see how I'd like it and such.

I agree that without a front fender, it does look pretty cool.

Chrome it!

Just my opinion of course. However... beauty and the eye of the beholder yadda yadda yadda etc..

Good luck with your choice!

Cheers,

Tom

Im just toying with the cheapest idea to make it look the best. Unemployed so a rattle can of anything is a lot cheaper than re-chrome although I'd love to rechrome it

If you're into rattle can, you should at least try that high temp. chrome paint. You just might be surprised and come out with a decent chrome look. If it goes bad...well you can always go with one of the other options mentioned.

To each his/her own but you did ask for opinions. Mine is that wrap looks ghetto and I don't mean that as a compliment. It's cheap looking, IMHO.

Low cost - go with hi-temp rattle can black. Check with some of the forum paint pros on the best way to prep first - prep is 90% of any good paint job.

I'd just sand it real good and spray it with a good high heat black.Yes I've been rockin wrapped pipes for a few years now but honestly they're more hassle than they're worth. No matter what if you wrap them you'll find yourself wanting to re wrap every couple years or so, probably have to re paint every couple or three years too but it's easier and you can do touch up without taking them off the bike.
