Yeah, Thats my problem as well. I really wanted the Iron Bags, but at almost a grand a set, the wife was not diggin' that. And I don't want another set of throwovers. We finally agreed and had a Custom Tack shop out of Kansas make me up a one off set. I guess we'll see what they look like when they show up. They are custom made out of saddle leather, so I hope they are all that they are promissed.

Gotta put my vote in for Boss Bags or LeatherPros. I think the two guys are brothers. Iron Bags are awesome, but I'm not sure you can make them quick detach. I only take my Boss Bags off to wash the bike anyway!

The leather pros are designed to work with detachable sideplates for the sissy bar. I have a detachable sissy bar with the easy brackets sig relocation kit and everything fits perfectly. Goes from bagger two up to solo bare bones in 5 minutes

I have to put in a plug for the HD detachables. Yes they are spendy but very functional and the mounts look good with them off, but the main thing is they are pretty durable. Like most of these things they rattle a bit so I used vinyl (electricians) tape on the bags to quiet them. One time I f***ed up and didn't have the latch entirely locked in, it flew off on the highway, bounced around, I pulled over and went back for it, almost no damage, just a few scuffs. I felt like an idiot of course, but I was impressed.

Okay. Here are some pics of my ... err ... mistake. As you can see, one of the first picture has just the hardware and washers. I had to use the washers b/c the hardware the brackets came with were designed for use with the detachable sissy bar and spacers that come with it. Without those spacers, there are real issues. First time riding, I realized the bolts were rubbing my tires. So, the washers were a quick fix one hour prior to my road trip. The second picture has the bags on, then another shot with the sissy bar resting on top. This last one is to show that it will not work together as advertised. Which is my dilemma. I wanted everything to be detachable!
After going to my local HD dealership the parts guy said it looks like I got the EZ brackets for a standard Dyna, not the Wide glide. Best fix he could come up with was to cut into my side plates to allow for them to rest on the EZ bracket hardware. Although, as he mentioned this would open up another can of worms. Anyhow, I am open to suggestions at this point as I plan on calling the EZ brackets shop tomorrow to see where "I" went wrong.
Finally, for the record, I bought the Bandito Chubby Bolt on saddlebags from cruisercustomizing.com.

Does anyone know if the LeatherPros will fit on the pre-96 Dyna WG's? most the other brackets/bags say 96-01, but the LeatherPros bags just say Pre-02?

Also, what type of turn signal relocators would work best with that bike? I had seen the standard Dyna relocators and was going to fab a bracket up, but with with that style I've been seeing people mount them on the license plate plastic bracket. Don't know how I would like that...

Leather Pros bags arrived today! Great looking bags and I can't wait to get them on. Thanks to all you guys on the forum for all the input and suggestions. I looked at all the different bags, mounting systems, etc. and went with the Leather Pros. A special shout out to NorthernB for the link to Tri County. They were friendly, fast, and a real good price. Thanks Jenni!
