It takes you a few trys to get the hang of putting them back on but once you know how it's a snap. They also feature a shock cutaway so they fit really close to the bike. There are hidden locking quick release buckles underneath the fake metal buckles on the straps. The only thing I don't like is the locks use a little plastic key and sometimes I have a hard time locating the key hole in the dark. Also, the quick release buckles are plastic. It's a pain-in-the-a to lock/unlock all three buckles so I just lock one. If someone wanted to destroy the locked buckle(s) the bags could be stolen pretty easily. I suppose this goes for any bag though. I haven't tested them in the rain yet so I don't know how they'll rate there.
QehQeh, are you using the support brackets Saddleman recommends with their quick disconnect system? If so, do they remove as well when you pull the bags? Any pics of what's left behind with the bags off?

Thanks

I'm looking for aluminum panniers to go on mine. I haven't never seen any on a dyna so far.

Don't know first hand yet, but after looking a long time, I ordered my Leatherpro bags last week for my Fat Bob ... I'll update when they arrive.

Can you show us some pics please? I am interested in the saddleman bags also.

Sorry, just getting back into the swing of things after Laughlin.
Yes, I'm using the Saddlemen support brackets. The support brackets do not come off along with the bags. If you wanted to take them off, it would take you 5 minutes. Unscrew the bag mounting posts, take off the support bracket and screw the mounting posts back on. The mounting posts look pretty much like quick disconnect sissybar mounts. I've attached some pics (not very clear) you can get an idea of how they look. I'll take some better ones tonight and post tomorrow.

Just an update, I bought some lightly used Edge Brackets (formerly Ghost Brackets) and the matching slant bags for cheap. They should be in on the 3rd and I'll write up a full review of them then.

Thanks! Looking forward to more pics. I like the Saddlemen but I'm thinking I may want to go with Edge or Easy Brackets since I expect to rarely run the bags and want the cleanest possible look without them.

One more ? - which turn signal relo kit did you use? From what I can see the sigs are nice and tight to the plate bracket.
