I'm looking for a tank to put on my FXDC while I have mine paint or powder coated.

One of the members has offered a good deal on a 2007 Dyna low rider tank. I called the local HD dealer and he says it won't fit. Now I don't mean to call him wrong, but not sure if he is certain it won't fit. Or maybe it just don't show up as the same part number.

Anybody know if I can use a 2007 Dyna Low tank on my 2010 Dyna Custom?

Or what tanks will work for me? I don't want to miss any ride time or wait until winter to paint.

 

Only the SE Fat Bob, Normal Fat Bob, Dyna Wide Glide and Dyna Superglide Custom - 5 gallon tanks are interchangable.


The Dyna Low Rider, Dyna Superglide Standard, and Street Bob tanks do not work.


That being said.....you CAN run a Dyna Low Rider tank if you get the entire tank and dashboard, guages, speedo, tach and warning light panel (and harness for these).

If you use the search function it has been covered 100 times here before.

 

Ya the tank will fit but your dash and speedo wont fit.

You can get a older WG tank with some damage on ebay cheap all the time.

You need a 06 35th Super Glide, 07+ SG Custom, 08+ Fatbob (including CVO), and I think its 04-08 (let someone else confirm for sure on earlier models but 06-08 for sure) on the WG tanks as long as its fuel injected.

All those use the same tank

Does not include 2010 WG it uses the smaller tank.

 

How long will it take to paint ? Maybe you should wait instead of wasting money

 

Thanks, I figure I will find a cheap tank and resell it after I'm done. Seems like a good idea to me.
