Default How to,,Drop in fork low/ kit

Quick guild to progressive drop ins

First you need to take the pressure off of the fork tubes,,,So a jack is needed,,,I raised my bike to the point were the tire was slightly touching,,,Just to keep a little tension ,,avoiding the forks from slapping over while working on tubes

Next remove your handle bars ,,to have access to the fork caps

Loosen top pinch bolt and then fork caps
Now you can remove the stock spacer

Remove washer by fishing it out

Then fish out stock springs with coat hanger..

after old spring is removed,,install new spring

Then install compensation spring

next washer

Then cut spacer,,,I wanted a one inch drop,, so i cut the spacer down to two inches ,,,If your looking for a two inch drop ,,cut the spacer down to one inch...

Install spacer then fork cap

Re-tighten pinch bolt ,,and reinstall handle bars,,,
Look at bike and enjoy,,,,

My bike is a 2010 so there was no need to change out fork oil,,,but it is recommended,,,I also let the spacer and spring drain into the tubes,,,so there was only a three or four drops of lost oil..

Very easy to do,,,

Sweet ! I'll be doing my springs soon (not the lowering kit, std height) soon, thanks for the visual, seems straight forward enough.
