what bars work with stock cables?
thinking of changing my bars, I ahve a 98 dyna wide glide with what appears to be the factory bars.bars measure 10" at start of bend and risors come up 2" then pull back with a total of 5". I was thinking of running a drag bar but would like to try this WITHOUT spending a lot for cables and then chaning my mind. could I bolt bars to my current risers and what would you recommend? thanks

depends on what you like and what is comfortable to you. i myself like the look and feel of ape hangers. but i also like t bars. some like 14 risers and narrow drag bars. its all a matter of style and comfort. look at pics, go to bike nights or dealers/bike shows and look around. but as long as you dont go taller and wider than your current setup you should be fine. but if you or someone has already put longer than stock cables/wires/brake lines then your options are endless (but you may have an excess amount of cables which would not look good).

thanks,
still not sure on style yet but starting to lean towards a little taller ape than I got, mine are 10" plus 5" pullback riser, total of 15", so could I go with a 2" straight riser and then put like 14" or 16" apes? IT looks like I have some play in the cables that are on there, would the base of the bars have any clearance issuies with the tank or anything with shorter risers?
