I've seen everything from 5000 to 12k on stock D591, and there seems to be a wide range of mileage on the SE180's also. Not to jack this thread but anyone know why? I assume we all do a little bit of the same type of riding. Any thoughts or theories on why mileage differs so much?
BTW, I only have about 5k on my stock rear (mostly around town). Not much left on it...

Depends on road conditions, type of driving and difference in riding habits. You do mostly city driving, a lot of stop and go = more wear. I have a 64 mile round trip to work and of course my weekend rides are all highway and distance, which is generally less wear.

It all depends on the type of riding you do. Solo vs. 2up or more city than highway, taking it easy or riding aggressive. And then you got to figure in that some of us did motor work that put the hp/tq in the higher than normal range, so that doesn't help either.
