Sissybar heights
How high are the Low and Tall sissybars when measured from the strut screws?
I'm planning to do my first road trip to DC on Memorial Day. Got no saddle bags (laid off in February) so I'm going to strap my ruck to my future sissybar but I want make sure I get one high enough so that it will be secure.
I want to lean back on it like I did when we took a break while on patrol. Just sat down and had my backrest right there.
Can it be done?

Thanks for the laugh J-Rox. I’m too old to be carrying that much stuff! Infantry is for the young.

DGDyna, you should be fine with the medium high. I have the medium high on my Fat Bob and regularly use my T-Bag luggage with it with no problems. Your ruck will be fine because you will not be applying force to the top of the ruck while leaning on it. The backrest is only 12" high from the passenger pad, but the rider seat is also about 4" below the passenger pad so your weight will be distributed fine.
I've even used the older style of T-Bag with this backrest which fastens by velcro straps with no problems.
Oh, and when I was still in the Corps, I strapped my Alice pack to my backrest regularly on my FXR. Same dimensions.
