I have an 04 DWG and without a windshield, I feel like my feet are always about 2 seconds from flying off the forward controls. If I had a heel bar, or even floor boards it might be better. Can it be done. Mind you I am only 5'9
Scotch what footwear are you using. I have found that if the soles are to soft they get bounced around a lot. But I would say heelrests are the way to go on the WG. Footboards just would not look right to me.
Where do you feet stay on the pegs when you are crusing? I have some long legs and am right on the edge of the pegs with my heels. I did buy some larger pegs, that handle the size 12 better and that seemed to help somewhat, more comfortable but was also looking at the switchblades. I measured for some floorboards once and did not find anything that would fit with the engine guard. Just something to consider.

I am a long legged 5-9 but I sit with my feet in the middle of the peg. I have HD forward controls with the flamed rubber. Prolly should see what HD offers for a heel rest huh?
Thanks for the input, I will let you know what I find out!
I'm for the Switchblades, too. I've had them for a couple years and they work great with my 2 inch extended (I'm 6'7") forward controls. My feet stay on the pegs even when cruising at 130+ mph.
