Default Ness Big Sucker....

Looking through their catalog the Big Sucker is referred to as a Stage II Unit.... pardon my lack of knowledge,,, but can it be used in a Stage 1 application, with just Pipes and a PC V?

Thanks,

JV

The Big Sucker stage II has a larger filter. Both (I & II) use the same backing plate - only difference is the filter.

Will it work? Yes. But I'd opt for the traditional sized stage I over the larger stage II

EDIT to add - Here's a link to their BS page which show both. http://www.arlenness.com/c-1161-big-...lter-kits.aspx

From the website -
Stage I kit features a Team-Ness High-Flow filter that accepts all 1993 and up oval or round OEM outer covers.
Stage II kit features a 20% larger Team-Ness High-Flow filter that requires an 8" round Ness or OEM outer cover.

Here ya go - assuming you have a 2000 - 2010 Harley...

$214.95 with chrome cover
http://www.arlenness.com/p-788-stage...fi-models.aspx

$149.95 without a cover - but with a chrome backing plate
http://www.arlenness.com/p-785-stage...fi-models.aspx

Or from Eastern Performance

EDIT to add - just to clear things up for you, this is from Eastern's website

Just took a look at the filter elements and they're pretty expensive. How often do they need to be changed?

Changed? Never. Washed/re-oiled - maybe 2 or 3 times a season. K&N sells a wash/oil recharge kit for like $14 and it'll last for years
I probably recharge my filter way more often than I need to, but I'm running an open filter and like the clean, fresh, red filter look.

Ah. Ok. I didn't realize they were K&N style.
