Default turn signals

does anyone know what the replacement number for the front and rear turn signals are? I don't want the HD number, it really means nothing when shopping anywhere else other than the hd dealer. They must have a standard or generic number.

Are you looking for clear or amber bulbs? I believe the bulb #/type is 1157. In the turn signals it should be a single contact bulb in any case.

I don't think there is a generic part number. Harley turn signals, be they "bullet" or otherwise, appear unique to Harley but vary in the way they mount on the front or rear. Mud is right about the number LOL. The 1157 bulb is a dual element and is used up front on some models. Rear blinkers use a single element bulb.

Just wondering, I was going to try and find a sylvania silver star type or PIAA, just for some extra brightneess up front. Make me be seen a little better. The head light was an easy find, H4 or 9003 sylvania silver star.

Factory bulbs.... 1156 is single element, 1157 is dual element, if looking for brighter bulbs, go with 2156/2157
