Default 750 for a Stage one Tune?

Are they nuts?

I just called Bergen Harley (NJ) out of curiosity. I explained I was going to install my own pipes and AC and asked what the Stage 1 tune download would cost "about 750 and that's with all the parts" ... What parts I asked? the guy says "we download the software and give you a Key so it can be accessed" ...this is exactly why I didn't buy a bike from Bergen Harley....

I think they are going to sell you a SEST tuner which you don't need. Its amazing what these dealers can get away with if you don't understand the bike and its workings.

I originally did the SE download back in 10-08...it was $150.00, but ended up getting the SE Pro Super Tuner and dyno tuning. The SE download is just that, a download with no fine tuning or adjustments. (and no "key")

Yeah, that's all a wanted... I just wanted to Insure I was running a little richer/cooler..... not looking for "Competition Performance". I'd go PC V before the SERT...

I'll stop down to the service counter and see what they have to say.

Just went thru the same thing last weekend.
The download will cover the SE air filter assembly, and the SE II mufflers.
If you vary from that (as I did as well) then you need the dyno so they can dial it in.
I was quoted $450 for the sert (you get the hardware interface only) and $329 for the dyno time.

Another Dealer, Ocean County HD told me the Download would work with the SE Heavy Breather and the V&H Pipes. No Dyno required. 50 for the software 150 for the Labor.

I got the SE A/C and SE 49-State Slip-On Mufflers, along with the download recently. It works well with the H-D components.
