Default 07 exhaust.

i am in waiting to be able to go get an 07 Bob. i know the after market takes awhile to catch-up. but why would the exhaust after market have to? i mean when ever someone gets a 95" or bigger done they don't have to get diff pipes. so what is the diff between the 06 and 07 that wouldn't allow u to put 06 pipes on?

another thing...
i love drag pipes.had them on my 03 anni. i know i lost some power, even with the Big City baffles in them. now i promised my self a compromise on this next bike. i hate 2 into 1's. even though they give the best performance. i just don't like the looks of them. so i'am willing to go with the V&H big shots. my ? is: is it poss that the 96" is able to make power and torq with drags and the B.C.T baffles? or am i dreaming? i plan on goin with a 103 kit and cam as soon as i can. along with the Big Boyz clean up head treat ment. i know i will be good with drags at that point.but what about a stock tc96?

and the last ?...
what info do we know about the heads and cams on the 07 vs the 06?
thank u all in advance. sorry if this was long.
Jay.

have you heard anywhere that the 06 exhaust WONT work on an 07?

With the Dynas they started the o2 sensor stuff, and I believe that was the slow down on getting exhaust phor the 06s, so that part shouldn't be an issue. Doesn't look to me as if there was major changes to the mounting of the exhaust between 06 & 07, and the headers don't look to be a different size either.

Maybe some of the other models are going to have issues, but I believe you'll be OK with the Dyna.

no....it wasn't that i heard they were diff, i just remeber reading recently that poeple were waiting for pipes to come out for the 07's. i was wondering why b/c i didn't see any diff either. i know that HD just put bored jugs and a stroked crank to get to the 96. it just didn't make sence to me. tanks Phreak.

I figure drag pipes are better suited to high hp motors and never to high torque motors. If you want torque a no baffle pipe will kill you on low end. I guess what I'm saying is a stoked 88 (TC96) will not match up with drag pipes any better and possibly worse. Take an '06 TC88, leave the stroke at the stock 4 inches, and bore it to way over 4 inches with 10.5:1 compression, now add your drag pipes.

Have you seen the new Hooker 4bidden pipes. They are a 2 into 4 into 1, and look bad a$$. I don't like 2 into 1's myself but I do like those and they come with a removeable baffle and rotatable tip.

I have spoken to V&H and Rinehart about pipes for my '07 Bob. They both said that they had '07 test bikes on the way and thought it would be some months before they had pipes ready for the '07 bikes. Neither said it was okay to assume the '06 pipes would work.

I will not pick up my 07 until sometime this week.
But when I was looking at it the bracket, clamps etc.
looks exactly the same as my 06.
I know slipons will work from 05 thru 06 so I am guessing
that the 07 will be included in that unless there has to be
something special inside the muffler like a cat converter,
But I do not think so. V&H said the fuelpak from the 06 will
work on the 07 with different mapping too.
So no one will know till we try.
I plan to put my V&H straight shot slipons on in the next week
or so.

Ok guys, you heard it here first. I put a set of V&H Big Radius on my 06 Street Bob and my 07 Lowrider. Same deal. Both installed the same way. I did it myself and I am no mechanic. Sounds great, looks great. There you go.

I have some 07 stockers if someone wants them.
