Longest trip you have taken on your Dyna?

last summer MO to NY and back. On the return trip, did ~800 miles in 14-16 hours maybe (I don't really remember, basically left late morning and rode until sometime around midnight, all interstate). Stock seat, stock grips...a$$ went numb for awhile then started really hurting which ultimately compelled me to stop and my hands felt like they had nerve damage when I went to sleep that night.
edit: And looking forward to doing it again soon!

I live about a half mile from the local tavern. One night last year they had a bike nite, so I loaded the bike up on a trailer and found a spot about two blocks away that didn't have any rocks or dirt that would make my bike dusty. Put my leathers on, had a buddy help me back that sucker off the trailer and pulled up revving the engine to show off the $1200 exhaust that I had the dealer put on. After about 45 minutes of standing around my scoot, we loaded her back up and headed back to the house.
All in all, it was a good time, but I had to spend 2 hours cleaning everything when I got back home.

Wore a new tire out leaving MN for the west coast to visit friends and do rides in Oregon and Washngton state. That trip was almost 4 weeks long and just over 5k miles total.
I have ridden to the east coast shore line twice. And done some other rides over 2k miles in less then a week. I have also done 1 ride just over 1k miles straight to get home. And almost a 1k miles in one shot with my father from Gatlinburg TN(spelling) to Rochester MN.
Dynas are great bikes for touring. I do find my bikers friend bag and tunes keep my morale going for the long hauls. Haven't gone with a shield yet, still enjoy the wind

Hey Man4mopar.....How many rear tires do you go through in a year would you say? What's your average mileage on a rear vs front? Curious as to how many pounds air pressure you maintain in rear and front.
I just put a new Dunlop K591 on my Low Rider....had 3/32nd left after 5300 miles. Probably had 1000 or so miles left before I needed to really change it.....but I'd rather be safe than stuck in nowheresville with a flat.

Single Trip = 2800 miles. Single day = 570 miles
For the last three years I've started the day after labor day and rode for 5 days without any particular destination. Try to average about 400 miles per day. Last year I wnt north to BC, then east through BC and Alberta, south to eastern Montana and then west through Glacier Park and North Cascades Highway, back to home in Washington. The year before I did a Washington, Idaho, Oregon loop. This year I plan on heading south. As I am retireing at the end of June, I'll have more time this year. Might turn it into a 10 to 14 day trip.

Jim, a great day ride my son and I like to do is North Cascades through Winthrop, east to Chelan and then back over hiway 2, keeping to state highways and backroads, no freeways. From Seattle this is a total of 425 miles. We live north so it is just under 400 miles for us. The north cascades is the most beautiful and fun ride I have taken to date. Of course, you need to wait until mid to late summer and the snow is gone.
