Longest trip you have taken on your Dyna?
#32
I've only had the Dyna since October and my longest ride on the Dyna was 340 miles in one day.
Longest one day ride on any bike was 640 miles. Ventura California to Death Valley for lunch and back again! Left at 6AM got home at 10PM. Elevation changes 5000ft and temp changes 61 degrees (40 to 101 degrees). That was on my 2006 Ultra. As a side note, the 06 Ulta with a 88 and 5 speed was a pig. Couldn't get out of it's own way and is now gone.

70 minutes on my new 2008 FWDWG. No windshield on a steady 70 mph freeway and I was in total agony by the time I got to the destination. I knew this and it was no suprise, I'm not complaining and I know it's a short distance bar hopper with no windshield. I'm 6'1" and it has great leg room but the tops of my thighs were screaming and I have to adjust the ape hanger style handlebars farther forward so I'm not laying down doing a semi chin-up I guess. Love the bike and it is what it is, (my other bike is a 2007 Goldwing purchased new in '06).

I'm 6'4" and the winshield is tall enough to keep the wind off your chest (reduces fatigue), but still see over the top of it.
I have no problems riding as far as I want to ride on any given day - including a Saddle Sore 1000/24 last year.

Any way, last summer I rode My '09 FXD from Chatsworth, Ca. to Tidewater, Or. (just east of Waldport) to go to a three day party with a group of members from another forum, then back home to LA. with overnight stops in Petaluma, Ca going up and Sacramento Ca.coming home. Had to buy a new rear tire in Sacto so a little longer than overnight there.
With the riding in the Tidewater area a little over 2K miles.
I regularly ride 300 miles or better just for a days outing and most times when I start my bike I'll ride 150 miles or so.

We have done Atlanta to Key West over 6 days for the last two years. 1600 miles round trip. Longest leg is the first day to Fort Myers - 640 miles. We spent several days fishing and diving before heading back with some side trips to Saint Augustine and Daytona.
First year, the weather was perfect. Last year, the leg home from Cocoa Beach to Atl was in the pouring rain. I have never been so miserable in my life.
