I think a larger dia. front would give more straight line stablity do to gyroscopic effect. The opposite of sport bike fronts which are 16 or 17 inch. a wider tire would be better but more important is the type of tread and profile. Hijacking is ok with me as long as you don't force us to fly to cuba. oregonrider.

What the dealer told me was,, brackets to move electrical wiring,, and wheel spacers?
Many have said they have installed without the kit,,
Be nice if we could hear from one of them...[sm=exactly.gif]

Is there a lower profile 180 that would drop the rear of the dyna that much more. A lower profile tire and the 11" progressives could make for a nice look.

Wonder what he meant by 'brackets'. The wiring is inside a conduit stuck to the upper inside of the fender, or at least thats the way the diagram in the manual shows it...

see.this is what doesn't add up to me. ur just changing the tire not the width of the rim.so why would spacers be need at all. i didn't see anywere in the HD add that says we had to change the belt to a thinner one.

so why not just get a 180 tire and put it on. the diff is only 20 mm. thats less than 1/2 increase in width a side. besides. i like the avon tires. they have a better tire compound for one,and the other thing is.the way that they do the tread markings a 180 looks wider than any othe 180. the profile of the tire is diff lokking for some reason. i can't put my finger on it but they do look wider than what they are speced out at. prolly smaller side wall.

The 180 kit does not have anhy spacers in it it does have a bracket that moves the wiring under the fender over.

dl03 - if that Avon is a lower profile tire than a HD approved 180 I would like to know. I want to put my Bob's a$$ on the ground. Any other low profile tire info would be appreciated.
