The mount problem doesn't surprise me. There was a thread on here a while back about how you could shim the front mount to remove a lot of the vibes because the mount is loaded from the factory which causes it to transmit more vibrations to the rest of the bike.

Dude, were you being facetious ...?

Yeah ... I suppose I would NEVER have guessed that the source of vibrations was a 96A (i.e. not counter-balanced) motor ...

Motor mount ... go figure ...!

My WG came new with a vibration. I complained to the dealer, didn't believe me. I took it back a second time and they finally fixed it, said the front mount was over torqued (by them at set up).

Yeah, the thing came right out of the box with a bad mount, because I noticed it the first time I let the clutch out.

I know Harley's vibrate, and own a 30 year old IronHead, so I am familiar with vibrations and noises, I knew this was not normal. The thing felt like it was going to shake apart that last time I rode it.

However, as of tonight I have 391 miles on it, it's running great, and tomorow I'll probably finish my 500 mile break-in! Mods are coming.......I got my new mirrors in the other day and they are badass........pics in the morning!

I took it out yesterday, and it was getting so bad I stopped at the dealer and told them about it (not the dealer I bought it from), saying that if a mechanic rode it and told me it was normal "break in" stuff, that'd be ok. He rode it for 20 minutes and came back to tell me,

"You have a front motor mount that went bad."

My first reaction, seeing as how I just watched it come out of the crate a few days ago, it has 57 miles on it right now, and the weather is just cracking 70-80 here all week while I have off and can ride, was:

"You are ****ing kidding me!! It just came out of the crate!! How is it just "going bad?! So what, it sits in your dealer the rest of the week while I wait for you to have time to fix it!?!?"

They said no, took it right in at 6:45, and fixed it in 20 minutes. It rides sooooo much better. After today it has 257 miles on it, and I f'n love this bike!!

BTW, it was All American Harley in Hughsville, MD that hooked me up, but I was still a little worried that I had to go through this in the first place..........
All American Harley is good stuff. I was there last Saturday and picked up a new passenger seat for my WG. The parts guy Dave gave me 15% as that's what my dealer gives me for buying parts through them.
