Mounted mine to the bars above the light, like the way it sits and easy to get to.

 

This should hide your straps.

 

I remounted mine on the battery box. No straps needed.

Just got a 2011 Suprglide Custom and was thinking of a fork bag. I want to mount it under the headlight like many of you did. I was wondering two things:

Does it interfere with your lighting at night? Are you able to open the bag? I mean, that headlight we have doesn't leave much clearance between itself and the fork brace.

Saw one bag that mounts vertically and can be mounted on the frame tube.

 

Great looking bag, Ed. Where did you get it? I put a sissy bar bag on my battery box and am considering a larger one since I can hardly get anything into it.

My tool bag sits right under my headlight and does not interfere with the light. I prefer how they look on the fork.

 

I've got one of those soft leather harley one's mounted to the handlebars and it rests on the headlight. Ican get into while sitting on the bike for glasses or what ever its staying there. Used some hook & loop fasteners.
