Default Wax On, Wax Off

Has anyone tried puttting wax/polish on their denim paint?

What were the results?

I realize the MoCo sez not to do this, but they say alot of questionable $hit...

It would probably make your bike look ashy.

Not as bad as wax on the wrinkle black parts, but almost as bad I bet. Be the first.

I have tried it. Nothing happens. It was like waxing a hole.

Maybe I will. I'm switching out my rear fender soon with a bobtail. Might experiment on the old one, if no one else has...

Someone has already asked me for it (mudpuddle), but I'm really not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet...

HAHA waxing a hole!!!Now I cant stop laughing. I heard its spose to turn a lil shiny, but I think itd defeat the purpose when you bought it that color.

Just my 2 cents

For the denim paint you might want to try Pig Spit. It's good for chrome, tires and painted parts and it's not a traditional wax. It's a cleaner and protectant and goes on clear. Makes everything very slippery though so becareful. It comes in an aerosol can and you can find it at Walmart in the Motorcyle parts section for about $6.50 a can. Good luck.

I think there is another similar product called Pig Snot. One is likely a knock-off, Don't know which, but I would imagine it's the one available at Wal-Mart.
