Default 06 to 07 Trade - What a deal !!

As I posted on the on going problems with my 06 St Bob here is what
I am going to do.

The Dealer had agreed to trade my 06 St Bob with 4200 miles on it for
an 07 St. Bob for a difference of $550.00 total !!
And because they will not be getting a Denim Black in until October they have
agreed to to swap my fenders and gas tank with the 07's. So I keep my Den Blk
tins and I will have what I want. My 06's are in good shape and I have found the
Denim paint to be so durable and care free I want to keep it.
The only thing in the deal is that there will no warranty on the paint it'self.
No problems there it is over a year old now and it is fine.

So that is the deal maybe I made a mistake keeping my 06 fenders etc.
but I like the denim black and I do not want to wait till October to get it.
I think the deal is too good to chance waiting.

So I a few days I should be able to report what I see as differences between
the 06 and 07.

Thanks to all who replied and helped me with my problems on the other post.

You are a lucky guy. Your dealer must be a stand up dude.

Good for you. Sometimes all you have to do is ask.

Maybe the problem is that your fuel tank is possessed by some evil force that was making your bike surge. I'm just sayin' is all

You know I have thought of that and I am going to have the fuel pump and even the fuel gage from the 07 put
in the 06 tank.

I will have the bike exorcised if that does not work [:@]

Congrats on a helluva deal! Your dealer is to be commended - as well as you for being patient but persistent.

I'll be very interested in reading your '06 vs '07 review once you get the new Bob. I know you don't think the '07 pipes are that much better than the '06 but wait until you get it out on the highway. (Keep in mind too that the "official" break-in rules for the '07s are for the most part, non-existent. After the first 50 miles, you can run the engine up to 5k until you hit 500 miles.)

Mr. Jam,

Thanks for that info ! It is true I just heard them (pipes) at idle in the parking lot.
I am anxoius to see if I can notice more torque over the 06.
But nost of all I hope it runs smooth with no problems.
I got my Bob this time last year and it was one of the 1st ones built so maybe
it has some bugs in itor something

Ride Safe and Thanks !!
