Start ing Custom Fairing
I have finally started working on my custom fairing. This is the first step making a male plug.
Thanks Joe (JRK5892) for the foil tip. I used a temporary spray adhesive and a wallpaper roller
for smoothing the foil on the inside if the fairing that I am using as a model. Then I used the
spray adhesive ans foil on the outside to build up the sides. Gave it all a healthy coating of
PVA mold release, let it dry mixed up 1 qt of a two part expanding foam, and poured. I only mixed
half of the foam kit, because I kept having this vision of Bobby Brady putting to much laundry
detergent in the washing machine! HAHAHA!!! So I have to mix another batch or two so I can get
the edges. Here's a vid. Not very exciting, kinda like watching grass grow, but a little faster!
