Default Stage 1 vs. Hypercharger

I have been looking at the pics and I have noticed that not many bikes have the Hypercharger. A friend swears by the Hypercharger, but I am not sure. I have an 02 WG that I got a couple of months ago w/ 130 miles on it. The bike is completely stock. I have decided to put V&H Big Shots on, but I am looking for suggestions on the air cleaner. What are the differences and is one that much better than the other?

From my experience with the Hypercharger it did flow more than stock but I doubt you will see much of a difference between the two. I think it would be a looks thing more or less, performance should be close to the same.

Don't you have to drill into something to hook
up a vacuum line so the butterfly opens. I don't
like that.

Yea, you have to tap into the intake manifold. It's really simple actually.

I like the look of the Hypercharger but I talked to a couple of mechanics who recomended against it.One even told me he had seen bikes lose HP on a dyno with a Hypercharger installed correctly. They seem to work better with the butterflys removed and if you're going that route why not use an open AC and get more power fr less $?
