Default New Bags for my Dyna and a rant

I just installed my new HD bags (79300-06D) for my Dyna WG and the tag/light kit (68544-10). New 2 up Sundowner seat last week also.
Went to re-install my detachable windshield and broke one of the dang clamps. Now I find out that I should have loosened up the clamps before re-installed so that the clamps will seat straight and not break. And the dang dealer is closed on Monday so no windshield till then.
Here are some pics anyway.

Sorry about your misfortune, but motorcycles weren't made to have windshields anyway.

You can bet that when it warms up it will be off. But at 6:00am when I am getting off work and getting on the highway and its 32 out, I want the windshield.

Those clamps must be made in China. I had one break the first time I used it. They should replace it without question.

Thanks for the photos. Back to the saddlebags, I know you just got 'em, but how to you like 'em? Are they big enough to hold a leather jacket? Looking at the H-D web site, it looks like they will mount with the quick detachable hardware. Can you confirm quick detachable? Thanks again, man!

These are not the detachable models. There is one in the most recent catalog that is for about $300 more. I had detachables on my last bike and never took them off, so what was the point this time? The went on fairly easy also. Had to relocate the lights and tag though. Plenty big enough to stuff a jacket in also. None of the models in the catalog show as usable for a 2010 WideGlide, but they are. The parts guy called HD R&D and verified that there is a new Rev for the bags hardware.
