Do a search " Stator" on dyna section, lots of info.
Stator screws come loose, some have tigwelded them before it happens, some have the updated part.
In my case, didn't hear noises, just ran out of battery, I guess I didn't see RED warning light at odometer while riding during day to work. MoCo cover my parts, not labor.

First 1/2 of the 06 model year dynas had no alignment dowels in the engine cases. (mine doesn't have them as it was made in Dec 05) So if your inner primary case was put on correctly and aligned right you should be ok. If not, your inner primary beairng may crap out. The fix is a new IPB and new cases from the MoCo. There are many threads on this issue here so start searching inner primary bearing and read up.
The 2006 dyna stator is a POS with screws instead of welds. The screws can back out and toast the whole assembly. The fix is a 07 welded stator & rotor and the screaming eagle compensator as well. Not rocket science..look for the threads by Mudpuddle on this fix.
There was a recall on the neutral switch and battery box bolt so call the MoCo customer service line and give them your vin number and see if yours has been done.
There is a TSB on the steering head clunk. The fix is a heat treated hardened washer which costs like $2 and handles more torque. If your starts clunking it is an easy DIY. Otherwise just buy the washer and replace it when it is time to repack the steering head bearings.
There is a TSB on cold start surging on 8 degree fuel injectors on the 06 early models made before May 2006. The fix is replacing them with CVO 25 degree fuel injectors. Look at your injectors under your tank behind the horn with a flashlight the 25 degree ones have "25" printed on them.
You should be able to find a used service manual on ebay for $20.
Have fun with the bike...I love mine. I have had the recalls done and the 8 degree fuel injectors swapped out for 25's. No IPB issues or stator issues yet.
BTW, run 75w90 or higher gear oil in the trans versus 20w50...will run smoother.
