Question Anyone lowered the front fork springs?

I put the lowered rear shocks on my 09 SG and was thinking about the low profile fork kit from the dealer. Anybody done it? Did it make a noticeable difference in handling/ comfort? I'm skeptical about only a 1" drop being worth it?

Can you slide the fork tubes in the trees an inch? It sure would be cheaper and easy to go back if you didn't like it.

I lowered the front tubes about 3/4" and screwed the cap on the top of the tube down to the top of the tree. It was free.

I did the progressive drop in kit. Simple, easy and works. $100 bucks well spent. Sig pic has both the front and rear drop done together.

Default Anyone Lowered the Front Fork Springs

Yep.... I did the 11 inch Progressive Shocks on the rear and didn't like the rake and the feel. So opted for the Progressive Drop In Front Springs with cutting spacer for 1 inch lower. I've done the Fork slide in the Tree before several times....Works fine really. I do like the ride and handling with the Progressive all the way around. The Drop In kit was cheap and very quick.

Well, i think I'll try sliding the fork tubes a bit to see how that works and then maybe get the actual kit. Thanks for all the replies!
