After I had Progressive 11" 430 shocks installed I also put the Progressive fork lowering kit installed.
I cant begin tell you what a positive difference it made for me. My Center of Gravity was lowered and I feel like I sit "in" the bike rather than "on" it.....and it's not as top heavy as it was. No Steering problems....and actually feel it's easier steering. Only have to watch my lean into curves or I leave some chrome from my pegs behind.

 

just curious, how tall are you? i was thinking of lowering my front end as well but i'm 6'1 and i don't want the bike to look too small for me.

 

Nitebobber08..... not sure if your question is directed to me or not, but I had to lower my bike because my feet wouldn't touch the ground sitting on it. I'm only 5'2".
Stock shocks on a Low Rider were 12.5" measured center eye socket to eye socket....so it's only lowered it 1.5" for me in the back and 1" in the front. I dont think it would look strange or effect you're looking smaller. It would improve handling though, bringing the bars down for your arms & hands to grip the handlebar, actually making steering easier.
