Default Advice on SERT remap?

I had the dealer install SE AC kit, Rush 2" slip-ons, and SERT with dyno tune. The bike runs great, but I am getting some popping on deceleration, around 3k rpm. I checked the exhaust flanges and muffler clamps; all are tight. I can avoid the popping by holding the throttle slightly open. The dealer tech says they can retune the mapping. Is there any downside on performance if the SERT is remapped to eliminate popping? I can live with occasional popping if eliminating it means a loss of performance. Advice welcome.

No performance impact, if done right. They will make adjustments in the 0-5% throttle range. Sometimes its PITA to tune those pops out.

My tuner spent hours doing it. If its an older SERT you might be able to get it upgraded to a TTS tuner for $100.00, just go to their website.
