I was playing around and just came across a picture of the bike I traded for my new Wide Glide. I bought this bike new in 2000 and had it for 10 years. I'm 5"7 and 160 lbs, I have to tell you the Wide Glide is a lot easier to handle.

I purchased a new GL1800 Wing back in 2006, (it's an '07 model), and think it is the best touring bike there is. I had a Yamaha XVS1100 V-Star that I learned on and after felt it was far too small and extremely underpowered for the freeways, then bought the GoldWing. Soon I longed for something smaller again to ride around town. The other day I bought a 105th Anniversayr Wide Glide off a re-seller on eBay and now I can't wait to fly down from B.C. and pick her up. I hear they handle quite well and are comfortable for reasonablly long trips, I'm 6'1" 225lbs by the way.
