I fired mine up in gear last summer. I was standing next to it and it lit right off. I was parked on damp grass and standing on the kick stand. the bike didn't even flinch, just sat there spinning the tire. I know it was in neutral when I parked it because I had to roll it back for another bike to get through but there were hundreds of other bikes and spectators there and some one must have been screwing with it in my absence.
