Default DUMBASS of the day award

well, it would have to go to me today. as you may remember i recently bought a nice new battery tender to keep my bike charged up when i'm not riding. i had the bike plugged in and charging this morning when i went to warm it up to ride to work. i let it idle for a few min and went outside with my full face helmet on (chance of rain here today), hopped on the bike and took off down the road. i didnt think about anything till i came home and noticed my extension cord stretched across my driveway. it took me a second to realize what i had done as i stared at the outstretched cord just laying there. then i looked at the bike and noticed the plug in was hanging out about 6" farther than it should have been. yea, thats right. i left for work with the bike hooked to the tender and the extension cord. i figured i had looked like a real idiot dragging the barrery tender down the road for a few miles. i had just grabbed the keys and went to get in my truck to go look for the lost tender, when i saw it wrapped around a bush in the corner of my driveway. everything ended up being 100% and working fine. i figured yall would get a kick out of that

Most of us have done similar things at one time or another, but few of us would admit it.

Those battery tenders will get ya! I disconnected my (-) battery terminal while I had it on my GSX-R this winter, took it off and couldnt figure out why my bike wouldn't start. I thought my gas lines were froze for 2 days til I remembered I had disconnected that damn terminal. Glad it worked out and still all works for ya!
