If you love the motor now just wait till it's broken in!

Why do the shocks need to be revalved so soon?

BTW, I have a set of OEM shocks I took off years ago which you're welcome to borrow. If you want to send the Ohlins back to Howard, PM me your address and I'll shoot them over to you to use while yours are being worked on.

Yeah I have had the Ohlins for almost a year now and it was actually my first mod to the bike. At first they had to be sent back to be revalved but now they are better but not perfect. Howard has asked me to send them back several times but I haven't done it yet. I need to but I sold my oem shocks on ebay and hate to be without the shocks for a few weeks(especially this time of year).

my shocks were the first configuration made when I bought them so I think they had to do a little trial and error to get it right. The valving just isn't quite right but in all likelihood it will probably wait until next fall/winter for me to work on it again. I'm just ready to get out and ride it a lot. I don't want any more downtime now that decent weather is here.

Didn't you have to break in your motor on your new bike (if you ever had one)? Same thing...new motor. Has to be broken in so the rings will seat properly.

Considering this is the second time around I have built this motor.....I am doing it by the book. The builder told me to ride it for 1k miles and bring it back so that is what I'm going to try to do.
