My Fat Street Bob
#14
The front end is entire Fat Boy that I pieced together off eBay.
The hard part for me is the parting of the money. lol But finding what you want for a price your willing to pay is part of the game.
Grinding the stops on the lower tree was a pain. Fitment of the back wheel, runnin' boards, and 19" front wheel was done at R&L Cycles in Jay. Shoe in Locust Grove spread the struts and fitted the RK rear fender.
Pictures of the process are in my Album. More pics are coming. FL bags and a radio fairing are next.

I had to lower the front of the bag a little to get the bottom of the bag parallel with the pipe and I had to move the bag back. To do that I took the Dremel to the holes in the Shovel bracket. The backing plate that the Shovel bracket is bolted to is a piece of aluminum that I found down in the store room in one of our barns. I should have angled the ends of it to match the slope of the Shovel bracket. That would have looked better. But I did get the bags on to see how they looked. I chose the early style Shovel brackets because the front mounting bar goes under the bag. The later style has the bar going in front of the bag. I me, that makes the bags sit too far behind the shock. I will be adding pictures in my album in the next day or two.
The radio fairing did not work out. Will post pics and describe problems in the next few days.
