Default Street Bob 2010 Shocks

Can anyone tell me the exact lenght of the Street Bob 2010 rear shocks?
Did anyone lower the shocks from stock and can give some information pleae?
Was thinking of installing these 430 Progressive series. Do they give trouble with the fender?
Any information is welcome. Thanks

streetbob shocks are 12"...before you buy those, look to Ricor's new shocks or Works shocks for a much better riding alternative and great looking shock...Progressive's are very cheap shocks that are overpriced. They use a very stiff spring rate to compensate for their internals not being up to the job. So you get a poor performing off the shelf shock that is too stiff and just does not come close to the quality and ride that Ricor or Works does. Also Brian at ricor is offering the shocks in all black or contrast like you see there. His shocks look almost exactly like those! I have an order in for his shocks.. gonna do a big old comparison on his vs my Ohlins that I have...can't wait to get them and try them out. You can go to 11" or 11.5" shocks no problem with bike parts bottoming out into each other. Of course the lower you go, the less travel you have.

sure. The Ricors are a bit more expensive than the progressive. I am sure they are worth it(again can't wait to find out). Works shocks will be around the same price or less depending on the finish you choose. Look at the works tracker series on their website. Personally I would not get shocks shorter than 11.5". The 11.5" shocks will lower the bike about 3/4 of an inch and look really good. Also that extra 1/2" of travel is a lot.

Hi Rounder, I had a look at the Ricor and works. I liked the Ricor most but I noted that on the website , the spring is shown in BLUE !!! Is that right or what?

The 2010 Streetbob Shocks are 11 3/4 inches. They lowered all the dynas for '10. The '09s were 12" for the Street bob, and 12.6" for the Superglides.

Bottom line is do you want low or do you want a good ride.

Can't have both with dual rear shocks. You can sometimes get away with it a little on the mono shock bikes but even then the loss of travel screws with the ride and handling big time.

So pick one. Low. Or good handling.
