well the idea is scrapped... I think I am more a one color guy..not to mention, when the gloss gets swirls etc, it's gonna be work to keep it up and not ruin the flat...I want ease of maintenance here.

Damn, I would have liked to see your bike with the flat and gloss paint. I love the hell out of the Night Rod's stripe done like that and some of the other paint jobs I've seen with that color scheme.

I'm with ya on the LOW MAINTENANCE theme. I'm getting ready to re color my tins over a couple years. Looking into powdercoating!! Saw a guy here on HDF did his Dyna and it came out SWEEEET! A little glossy but not too much.

won't look as good because our tanks have consoles on them....that was my original intention. to do a stripe like a nightrod. With the console the stripe would probably not look all that great... I will have a gloss black console to contrast with the flat on the tank.

scrapped that too. After seeing bberck's I decided to keep my tail light and plate where it is. To me the smooth fender looks great, with the fender dropped low with 11" shocks. With my 12" shocks it will look out of sorts IMHO. My fender is also shaped different than the 06+ which will make it look too narrow and naked sitting on 12" shocks.

The flames I did really made a big difference because so few bikes have custom paint. Good Luck!

something simple but striking. Your bike always looked fast just sitting there evrytime i see it on the forum. I like the nightrod stripes idea.... it would be the simplest thing to but the return on it would be baddass!
