i put the smoked laydown taillight on with a red led bulb, but im wondering what you guys are doing to light up the license plate.

 

I did the same thing for a while and just decided not to worry about lighting the plate. I guess you could use those lighted bolts on the frame and patch it into the taillight.

 

I bought a bright red led bulb for my scoot. It lights up the plate red but looks fine. I had that chrome redish bulb at first and it sucks, does not stay red for long and is dim. Led bulbs are the way to go, last longer and brighter. Be careful if you by on line. Pay attention to the size of the led bulbs, some are to big to fit in the laydown lens.
