Default Dyna Batteries

My '07 has the factory battery still. Are those factory batteries 36mo, 48mo? I am thinking maybe it is a good winter idea to replace it as a preventative maintenance measure. Also, does the Thundermax have non-volatile memory so it won't loose its settings/curves when/if I replace the battery?

I too have an 07 and my battery went dead right before the weather got cold.....November I think. I have read where others are still going strong. I guess it depends on how old the battery was when HD put it in the bike. As for losing your settings.....no. I have a Dobeck and when I replaced the battery everything stayed the same.

Mine is an 07 and the battery is still going strong.

I ride every weekend. Yes every one (52 of 52)! Never during the week (well rarely). Never on a tender.

If you decide to get a new one, an option is a Interstate battery. They sell a high output 320 CCA. The stock HD is only 270 CCA. The Interstate is around $90.00

I put mine on a charger if I have been off for a week. This year more than ever!!! due to the winter we have had. Just did it this morning as we are going to be in the 60's today and I am going to enjoy a ride.

Before you by Interstate or any other, check out Odyssey.
