Default looks like I have a little paint project!

I mentioned to my wife about another thread I started about my love/hate relationship with my gloss black bike....She wants the bike denim/hotrod black...She says that she wished I had done this before instead of doing the tins in gloss in the first place....I gotta agree....So now to paint the bike...I am going to get a paint supply store to mix me up some good paint and apply it with a preval sprayer.... This should be fun.... Now i gotta decide if I leave my console gloss black or paint it denim as well. Also gotta figure on the battery cover and electrical cover as well. Having an 05 I can run the battery exposed like it came from the factory.

Maybe some of you can post your denim bikes up and your combinations of gloss and denim....

I would keep the dash gloss black, it will be a nice contrast with the flat black

I was thinking the same thing. It'd be like black chrome.

Just think of all the extra riding time your gonna have, great choice!

I think the dash and side covers might look good powdered wrinkle black to match your engine.

I went to the paint supply store this afternoon... seems they mix the color, I get to mix the hardener and reducer...so... I can paint at my leisure, do the tins first, and once reinstalled decide in my console and battery/electrical covers. Gonna do a single stage urethane paint. Keeps the cost down, the heck with color and clear....It's gonna be hot rod black. Should come out much better than a rattlecan job.

Sweet, can't wait to see it. I love my flat black, so easy to clean. I think it will look good with the console and side covers gloss. It will help tie in your lowers and shocks.

It's gonna look sweet...welcome to the "weathered" dark side.

+1 on the glossy dash. I like the wrinkle on mine but I think gloss would pop more.

I like the gloss dash with denim, contrast is killer! Here are more pics to ease your decision. Mostly to show you the gloss dash on denim.
