told my wife about this thread... she's says hell yeah...do the denim paint! I wanted you to paint it flat black in the first place"." So it looks like my winter mods are not complete...LOL...I guess I'll be going denim/semi-flat black. Now the question becomes... do the electrical cover and battery box in the denim or wrinkle.

I know some have their preferences, as everybody should, but I can say your money wont go to waste on this stuff!

I alos recomend Black Wow for those plastic parts that get beaten down by the sun! Makes it look like showroom condition with out the typicall gloss finish Armor All gives it. Expensive, YES! $30 a bottle,,ouch! But my 2 year old MINI cooper looks like it is fresh off the showroom floor! So does the Harley ;-)
try being more vague. we all understand you too clearly.

I was at a swap meet in Nov. and could have bought a gorgeous Pearl White tank for my WG for $150. The guy wouldn't deal any lower and I was lacking the green he wanted by just a bit. What I'm saying is the deals are out there, so you don't have to spend a bunch of cash on tins if you can't/don't want to.

Have you ever had gloss black????

I've had very many colors in my past (I'm old), but I was still caught off guard when I got the black color. The way they show the swirls, every stinkin' one of them, is just unbelievable. Not like any other color I have seen.

Yeah, I use Zaino #2, #5 (with the hardener that you add) with a shot of #6 between layers.

I avoid ANY quick clean-ups.
Absolutely no attempt at polishing unless the bike has been thoroughly washed first.
That dry wipe chit don't work on black. It creates massive swirls.

Very likely the last Black bike I will own. (I love the color - hate the work).

Gloss covers look great against the flat tins...nice clean contrast! Flat on flat just don't do much, but some like that. You've seen my pics & you know of all my gloss powder on denim tins...take another look & refresh yourself!

The fact is any color will show dirt, if the bike is actually ridden. Sure I wouldn't mind if my bike still had that showroom shine but the fact is it doesn't.

Oh yeah... looks killer... I wonder if this will look as good with my engine as I have my covers done in wrinkle.

LOL Sorry. I swore I pasted the link :-)

You spray it on when the bike is still yet, and you wipe it off as you dry. TYhey make a bunch of other great products as well. I use the Hydro for the Wax. Mystique for the soap. Just makes everything look great!
