Default 50mm SE throttle body to a 58mm SE TB

I currently have the 50 mm SE Throttle body on my 103" Street bob, I was considering going to the 58mm SE with the high flow intake manifold and high flow injectors. Hoping to get more airflow out of this, Would it be worth it?

No, a 50 is plenty for a 103.

cmj8806,

Some of the engine builds I have seen do not resort to the larger injectors until 113ci and up. If you have a dyno guy ask for his thoughts...he has prob seen enough results to advise you if its worth the cash and effort or not.

Hell no...the 50 is perfect for what you've got! Don't even need to know what cams you have to say the 58 is too big...velocity would be destroyed with that thing on your motor!

Cjm...if you don't mind a slight hijack, what Woods cam are you using and what was your dyno tune outcome?

The 58mm would be way over kill. And to tell you the truth, I don't think you even need the 50. The stock throttle body can flow more than enough air for a 103".

Here's a question for you all. The 58mm throttle body.... Does the 50mm backplates fit? I have a Doherty PowerPACC on my 50 now, but will have a 58 soon. I have heard that the aftermarket backplates are the same, only the butterfly changes. Anyone know?
