Question 16" to 18", bike height raise?

Newbi here,

Wanting a taller Fat Bob, would upgrading these rims really raise the bike 2" ?

I'm 6' 6" and need a bigger or taller ride, and felt the calling from the Fat Bob as my bike to own.

2" bigger wheels doesnt equall a 2" higher ride. You have to split the overall diameter increase in half so you might gain an inch but then it also depends on the tire you choose. Side wall heights could net you more or less depending on the size. In my opinion you would be better off raising your suspension. Then at least you could upgrade to performance shocks and springs and raise it at the same time. After that you could go with bigger wheels for a little extra "lift". But in all honesty, you arent freakishly tall. You can pick a different seat that will give you more leg room, extend your foot controls, and change your bars, all of which will make the bike "feel" bigger and more comfortable.

I put a street glide 18 with a 150 on the front and a FB rear with a 180 on it. My bike is a Low Rider with Wide Glide trees and V-Rod fork legs.
