I read on the Gen. Dis. Forum that someone on the Dyna Forum fabricated some brackets to move forward controls back a little. I did a search but did'nt come up with the thread Any help would be appreciated.

There've been some threads on this subject although I can't remember where. I made some adaptor plates myself that set the forwards back a full 2". J&P Cycles show some "Kick-Back" plates on pg 812 of their 2010 catalog that set the controls back 1 3/8".
fhansen, I would like to see some pics of those brackets that move the controls back 2". I can't imagine the stock forward controls coming back 2" without being moved to the top or outside of the primary.
Tuggin, are you talking about these brackets that moved the controls back 1 1/4"?

It took some doin. The shift lever pivot ended up quite close to the primary. I had to go with a longer shift rod-15", I believe- to rotate the inner shift lever away from the primary and I still had to cope the lever for clearance. The brake side was no problem other than shortening the rod. I'll get some pics.
